The Hargreaves Review of IP and Growth


The Prime Minister commissioned the Hargreaves Review of IP and Growth (named after Professor Ian Hargreaves, Professor of Digital Economy at Cardiff University) in an effort to re-boot both the principle and the application of IP legislation in the UK to make them fit for purpose in a Digital Age.

You can download the full report, containing Professor Hargreaves 10 recommendations from the link below.In his public statement about the recommendations, Professor Hargreaves said that he hoped that$ they would “create more open and creative markets which would benefit the creative industries".

 

Widely welcomed by the Culture sector, the Government and the Press, the recommendations are likely to have far-reaching implications for all Creative & Cultural organisations, including museums and libraries.
