'Down the Back of the Sofa' is an innovative concept from Derby Museums and Art Gallery which created an interactive public exhibition on the South Bank as part of the Vintage at Southbank Centre Festival.
The exhibit used a combination of C20th artefacts from the museums collections, found objects and items acquired from a Charity Shop to create a lounge space and DJ area.
This short film introduces the concept of the exhibition and shows how the public reacted to it during the festival.
The Museums Association has also published an article about the exhibition, along with a short time-lapse video of the display being constructed.
