Documentation procedural manual template

There is no set format for writing a procedural manual. It should be a very practical document about YOUR museum. You should be able to hand it over to your successors so they will understand how your museum's documentation system works.

These guidelines are intended as a check list for writing a Documentation Procedural Manual. They can be used simply as a guide as to what to include or can be copied and used as a template. The column on the right has been left blank for you to add your own information.

These guidelines were developed with funding from CyMAL and drew on the Model Museum Documentation Procedural Manual published in June 2003 by the Council of Museums in Wales.
