Originally published by the Museums and Galleries Commission in 1999, the 'Standards in the Museum Care of Collections' series rapidly became a key reference for people working with different collections types.
Although not updated since the original publication, much of the guidance in the standards remains current. Please use the comments field to tell us whether you would find it useful if the Collections Trust were to produce an updated version of these standards.
