Joint Statement: Acquisition of Adlib Information Systems & Selago by Axiell ALM

The following is a joint statement issued by the Collections Trust and Axiell ALM, the UK archive, library and museum division of Axiell AB.

Axiell acquired Adlib Information Systems and Selago (producers of Mimsy) in 2013. These acquisitions build on existing relationships between the companies and represents an extension of Axiell’s ambition to develop globally competitive software solutions for museums, galleries, libraries and archives.

Axiell ALM has confirmed that existing customers of Adlib Information Systems, Axiell CALM and Selago can expect business as usual, with a continuation of support for their systems for at least 5 years. The existing software solutions will continue to be available and supported, so that museums currently undertaking procurement can continue to select the solution that best meets their needs.

Adlib, Selago and Axiell will continue to work with the Collections Trust as members of the SPECTRUM Partners Scheme, building on their existing commitment to standards and best practice and the ongoing compliance of their systems with the SPECTRUM standard.

Axiell ALM is currently developing a next-generation collections management solution which will offer existing customers access to new functionality, drawing on the strengths of the existing platforms in the Axiell group. Axiell is committed to involving new and existing customers in the development of this solution, which will provide a straightforward upgrade path from their legacy systems.

At the time of writing, Axiell had also announced the acquisition of KE Software Ltd.
